حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ شَقِيقٍ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّ
مَ يَأْمُرُ بِالصَّدَقَةِ فَيَنْطَلِقُ أَحَدُنَا فَيُحَامِلُ فَيَجِيءُ بِالْمُدِّ وَإِنَّ لِبَعْضِهِمْ الْيَوْمَ مِائَةَ أَلْفٍ قَالَ شَقِيقٌ فَرَأَيْتُ أَنَّهُ يُعَرِّضُ بِنَفْسِهِ

English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to command us to give charity. One of us would go out and carry loads for hire and come back with a mudd. Now some of them have one hundred thousand.' Shaqiq said: I think he was referring to himself.
