Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ذَكْوَانَ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ لِفُلَانٍ نَخْلَةً فِي حَائِطِ
ي فَمُرْهُ فَلْيَبِعْنِيهَا أَوْ لِيَهَبْهَا لِي قَالَ فَأَبَى الرَّجُلُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ افْعَلْ وَلَكَ بِهَا نَخْلَةٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ فَأَبَى فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ هَذَا أَبْخَلُ النَّاسِ

English Translation
It was narrated from some Companions of the Prophet ﷺ that a man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, so-and-so has a date palm in my garden. Order him to sell it to me or give it to me.' The man refused, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Do it, and you will have a palm in Paradise in exchange.' He still refused. The Prophet ﷺ said: 'This man is uncouth.'
