حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ بُشَيْرِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ أَخْبَرَهُ عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ نَ
هَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرِ بِالتَّمْرِ وَرَخَّصَ فِي الْعَرِيَّةِ قَالَ وَالْعَرِيَّةُ النَّخْلَةُ وَالنَّخْلَتَانِ يَشْتَرِيهِمَا الرَّجُلُ بِخَرْصِهِمَا مِنْ التَّمْرِ فَيَضْمَنُهُمَا فَرَخَّصَ فِي ذَلِكَ

English Translation
It was narrated from a man from the Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited selling fruit on the tree for dried dates, but he permitted al-'ariyyah. Al-'ariyyah is one or two date palms that a man buys for their estimated weight in dried dates, taking on the guarantee, and so that was permitted.
