حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ وَحَجَّاجٌ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْمِنْهَالِ أَوْ ابْنِ مَسْلَمَةَ عَنْ عَمِّهِ قَالَ حَجَّاجٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَبِي الْمِنْهَالِ بْنِ م
َسْلَمَةَ الْخُزَاعِيِّ عَنْ عَمِّهِ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِأَسْلَمَ صُومُوا الْيَوْمَ قَالُوا إِنَّا قَدْ أَكَلْنَا قَالَ صُومُوا بَقِيَّةَ يَوْمِكُمْ يَعْنِي يَوْمَ عَاشُورَاءَ
Isnad Chain
English Translation
It was narrated from the uncle of Abd al-Rahman Abu al-Minhal ibn Maslamah al-Khuza'i that the Prophet ﷺ said to the Aslam tribe: 'Fast this day.' They said: 'We have already eaten.' He said: 'Fast the remainder of your day' — meaning the day of Ashura.
