Hadith #22
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ عَنْ وَاصِلِ بْنِ حِبَّانَ الْبَجَلِيِّ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بُرَيْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ
وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ قَالَ الْكَمْأَةُ دَوَاءُ الْعَيْنِ وَإِنَّ الْعَجْوَةَ مِنْ فَاكِهَةِ الْجَنَّةِ وَإِنَّ هَذِهِ الْحَبَّةَ السَّوْدَاءَ قَالَ ابْنُ بُرَيْدَةَ يَعْنِي الشُّونِيزَ الَّذِي يَكُونُ فِي الْمِلْحِ دَوَاءٌ مِنْ كُلِّ دَاءٍ إِلَّا الْمَوْتَ

English Translation
It was narrated from Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Truffles are a remedy for the eyes, and 'ajwah dates are from the fruits of Paradise, and this black seed' — Ibn Buraidah said: meaning the nigella that is found in salt — 'is a cure for every disease except death.'
