حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ أَبُو دَاوُدَ الْحَفَرِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ حَدَّثَنِي سَعْدُ بْنُ طَارِقٍ عَنْ بِلَالِ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنِ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ قَالَ أَخْ
بَرَنِي أَعْرَابِيٌّ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مَا أَخَافُ عَلَى قُرَيْشٍ إِلَّا أَنْفُسَهَا قُلْتُ مَا لَهُمْ قَالَ أَشِحَّةٌ نَحِرَةٌ وَإِنْ طَالَ بِكَ عُمْرٌ لَتَنْظُرَنَّ إِلَيْهِمْ يَفْتِنُونَ النَّاسَ حَتَّى تَرَى النَّاسَ بَيْنَهُمْ كَالْغَنَمِ بَيْنَ الْحَوْضَيْنِ إِلَى هَذَا مَرَّةً وَإِلَى هَذَا مَرَّةً

English Translation
It was narrated from Imran ibn Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) that a bedouin informed him that he heard the Prophet ﷺ say: 'I fear nothing for Quraysh except themselves.' He said: 'What is wrong with them?' He said: 'They are stingy and aggressive. If you live long enough, you will see them leading people astray until you see people among them...'
