حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الْوَلِيدَ أَبَا الْمُغِيرَةِ أَوْ الْمُغِيرَةَ أَبَا الْوَلِيدِ يُحَدِّثُ أَنَّ حُذَيْفَةَ ق
َالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي ذَرِبُ اللِّسَانِ وَإِنَّ عَامَّةَ ذَلِكَ عَلَى أَهْلِي فَقَالَ أَيْنَ أَنْتَ مِنْ الِاسْتِغْفَارِ فَقَالَ إِنِّي لَأَسْتَغْفِرُ فِي الْيَوْمِ وَاللَّيْلَةِ أَوْ فِي الْيَوْمِ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ

English Translation
It was narrated from Hudhayfa (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said to the Prophet ﷺ: 'O Messenger of Allah, my tongue is sharp and it is mostly directed at my family.' The Prophet ﷺ said: 'Where are you regarding seeking forgiveness? I seek forgiveness one hundred times in the day and night' — or: 'in the day.'
