حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنِ الْأَشْعَثِ عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ عَنْ ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ زَهْدَمٍ الْيَرْبُوعِيِّ قَالَ كُنَّا مَعَ سَعِيدِ بْ
نِ الْعَاصِ بِطَبَرِسْتَانَ فَقَالَ أَيُّكُمْ يَحْفَظُ صَلَاةَ الْخَوْفِ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ حُذَيْفَةُ أَمَّنَا فَقُمْنَا صَفًّا خَلْفَهُ وَصَفًّا مُوَازِيَ الْعَدُوِّ فَصَلَّى بِالَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُ رَكْعَةً ثُمَّ ذَهَبُوا إِلَى مَصَافِّ أُولَئِكَ وَجَاءَ أُولَئِكَ فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ رَكْعَةً ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ عَلَيْهِمْ

English Translation
It was narrated from Hudhayfa (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said about the Fear Prayer: 'He led us, and we stood in a row behind him and a row facing the enemy. He prayed one rak'ah with those who were close to him. Then they went to the positions of the others facing the enemy, and the others came and he prayed one rak'ah with them, then he gave the greeting.',
