حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ عَنْ أَبِي الْبَخْتَرِيِّ قَالَ قَالَ حُذَيْفَةُ كَانَ أَصْحَابُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ

عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْأَلُونَهُ عَنْ الْخَيْرِ وَكُنْتُ أَسْأَلُهُ عَنْ الشَّرِّ قِيلَ لِمَ فَعَلْتَ ذَلِكَ قَالَ مَنْ اتَّقَى الشَّرَّ وَقَعَ فِي الْخَيْرِ

English Translation
It was narrated from Hudhayfa (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: 'The Companions of the Prophet ﷺ used to ask him about good, while I used to ask him about evil.' It was said: 'Why did you do that?' He said: 'Whoever avoids evil will fall into good.'
