English Translation
It was narrated from Hudhayfa (may Allah be pleased with him) through Abu Qilaba that Abu Masud said to Hudhayfa — or Hudhayfa said to Abu Masud: 'What have you heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say about what they claim?' He said: 'I heard him say: "How evil a mount for a man is it" ' — meaning the word 'they claim' used when one is not sure of a statement.
