حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ الْيَشْكُرِيِّ عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَلْ بَعْدَ هَذَا الْخَيْرِ شَرٌّ كَمَا كَانَ قَبْلَهُ شَرٌّ قَالَ يَا حُذَيْفَةُ اقْرَأْ كِتَابَ اللَّهِ وَاعْمَلْ بِمَا ف
ِيهِ فَأَعْرَضَ عَنِّي فَأَعَدْتُ عَلَيْهِ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ وَعَلِمْتُ أَنَّهُ إِنْ كَانَ خَيْرًا اتَّبَعْتُهُ وَإِنْ كَانَ شَرًّا اجْتَنَبْتُهُ فَقُلْتُ هَلْ بَعْدَ هَذَا الْخَيْرِ مِنْ شَرٍّ قَالَ نَعَمْ فِتْنَةٌ عَمْيَاءُ عَمَّاءُ صَمَّاءُ وَدُعَاةُ ضَلَالَةٍ عَلَى أَبْوَابِ جَهَنَّمَ مَنْ أَجَابَهُمْ قَذَفُوهُ فِيهَا

English Translation
It was narrated from Hudhayfa (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: 'I said: "O Messenger of Allah, is there evil after this good as there was evil before it?" He said: "O Hudhayfa, read the Book of Allah and act upon what is in it." He turned away from me, and I repeated the question three times. I thought: if it is good I will follow it, and if it is evil I will avoid it. I said: "Is there evil after this good?" He said: "Yes — a blind, dark, deaf trial. There will be callers to misguidance at the doors of Hell. Whoever responds to them, they will throw him into it."'
