حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ السَّلَامِ بْنُ حَرْبٍ حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الدَّالَانِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي الْعَلَاءِ الْأَوْدِيِّ عَنْ حُم
َيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِذَا اجْتَمَعَ الدَّاعِيَانِ فَأَجِبْ أَقْرَبَهُمَا بَابًا فَإِنَّ أَقْرَبَهُمَا بَابًا أَقْرَبُهُمَا جِوَارًا فَإِذَا سَبَقَ أَحَدُهُمَا فَأَجِبْ الَّذِي سَبَقَ

English Translation
It was narrated from a man among the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ that he said: 'When two people invite you simultaneously, accept the one whose door is closest to you — for the one whose door is closest is the nearest neighbour. And if one of them gets ahead, then accept the one who got ahead.'
