Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ هِشَامٍ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ الَأَشْهَلِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّهُ أَتَاهُ فَحَدَّثَهُ أَوْ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ عَلَى الْمَيِّتِ اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِحَيِّنَا وَمَيِّتِنَا وَشَاهِدِنَا وَغَائِبِنَا وَذَكَرِنَا وَأُنْثَانَا وَصَغِيرِنَا وَكَبِيرِنَا
English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Ibrahim al-Ashhali from his father that he came to him and informed him — or told him — that he heard the Prophet ﷺ say in the funeral prayer: 'O Allah, forgive our living and our dead, those present and those absent, our males and our females, our young and our old.'
