Hadith #560
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو غِفَارٍ حَدَّثَنِي عَلْقَمَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْمُزَنِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي رَجُلٌ مِنْ قَوْمِي أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلْيُكْرِمْ ضَيْفَهُ ثَلَاثَ مِرَارٍ مَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلْيُحْسِنْ إِلَى جَارِهِ مَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلْيَقُلْ خَيْرًا أَوْ لِيَسْكُتْ
English Translation
It was narrated from a man of his people that he heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say three times: 'Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him honor his guest. Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him do good to his neighbor. Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him speak good or remain silent.'
