حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ الْحَدَّادُ حَدَّثَنَا ثَوَّابُ بْنُ عُتْبَ

ةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ لَا يَخْرُجُ حَتَّى يَطْعَمَ وَيَوْمَ النَّحْرِ لَا يَطْعَمُ حَتَّى يَرْجِعَ

English Translation

It was narrated from Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet ﷺ would not go out on the day of Eid al-Fitr until he had eaten, and on the day of Eid al-Adha he would not eat until he returned.
