حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدٌ هُوَ ابْنُ الْحُبَابِ حَدَّثَنِي حُسَيْنُ بْنُ وَاقِدٍ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بُرَيْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ احْتَبَسَ جِبْرِيل

ُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ لَهُ مَا حَبَسَكَ قَالَ إِنَّا لَا نَدْخُلُ بَيْتًا فِيهِ كَلْبٌ

English Translation
It was narrated from Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him) that Jibril (peace be upon him) delayed coming to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. When he finally came, the Prophet ﷺ said to him: 'What kept you?' He said: 'We do not enter a house in which there is a dog.'
