حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ دَاوُدَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُؤَمَّلِ عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَا عَائِشَةُ إِنَّ أَوَّلَ مَنْ يَهْلِكُ مِنْ النَّاسِ قَوْمُكِ قَالَتْ قُلْتُ جَعَلَنِي اللَّه
ُ فِدَاءَكَ أَبَنِي تَيْمٍ قَالَ لَا وَلَكِنْ هَذَا الْحَيُّ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ تَسْتَحْلِيهِمْ الْمَنَايَا وَتَنَفَّسُ عَنْهُمْ أَوَّلَ النَّاسِ هَلَاكًا قُلْتُ فَمَا بَقَاءُ النَّاسِ بَعْدَهُمْ قَالَ هُمْ صُلْبُ النَّاسِ فَإِذَا هَلَكُوا هَلَكَ النَّاسُ

English Translation
It was narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet ﷺ was asked whether the tribe of Taym would be spared. He said: 'No. But this clan of Quraysh — death will overwhelm them, and they will be the first to perish.' She said: 'What of people after them?' He said: 'They are the core of people. When they perish, all people perish.'
