حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ عَنْ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَبِي حَفْصَةَ مَوْلَى عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ أَخْبَرَتْهُ أَنَّهُ لَمَّا كَسَفَتْ الشَّمْسُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَتَوَضَّأَ وَأَ
مَرَ فَنُودِيَ إِنَّ الصَّلَاةَ جَامِعَةٌ فَقَامَ فَأَطَالَ الْقِيَامَ فِي صَلَاتِهِ قَالَتْ فَأَحْسِبُهُ قَرَأَ سُورَةَ الْبَقَرَةِ ثُمَّ رَكَعَ فَأَطَالَ الرُّكُوعَ ثُمَّ قَالَ سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ ثُمَّ قَامَ مِثْلَ مَا قَامَ وَلَمْ يَسْجُدْ ثُمَّ رَكَعَ فَسَجَدَ ثُمَّ قَامَ فَصَنَعَ مِثْلَ مَا صَنَعَ ثُمَّ رَكَعَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ فِي سَجْدَةٍ ثُمَّ جَلَسَ وَجُلِّيَ عَنْ الشَّمْسِ

English Translation
It was narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when a solar eclipse occurred and the call was made, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood and led a long prayer, reciting — she believed — Surah Al-Baqarah. Then he bowed for a long time, then said "Sami' Allahu liman hamidah" and stood as long as he had before without prostrating. Then he bowed and prostrated, then stood and did the same again, completing two rak'ahs with four bowings and four prostrations, until the sun reappeared.
