Chain of Narration (Isnad)
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ أَنَّ س
Body (Matn)
َعْدًا سَمِعَ رَجُلًا يَقُولُ لَبَّيْكَ ذَا الْمَعَارِجِ فَقَالَ إِنَّهُ لَذُو الْمَعَارِجِ وَلَكِنَّا كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا نَقُولُ ذَلِكَ
Isnad Chain
English Translation
It was narrated that Sa'd heard a man saying during talbiyah: 'Labbayk dha al-Ma'arij (Here I am, O Lord of the Ways of Ascent).' Sa'd said: 'He is indeed the Lord of the Ways of Ascent, but we were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and we did not say that [i.e., they kept to the standard talbiyah].'
