حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ وَيَعْلَي قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاحٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ دِينَارٍ الْوَاسِط

ِيَّ عَنْ شُعَيْبِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ حُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ مِنْ حُسْنِ إِسْلَامِ الْمَرْءِ قِلَّةَ الْكَلَامِ فِيمَا لَا يَعْنِيهِ

English Translation

Ibn Numayr and Ya'la (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that hajjaj, meaning Ibn Dinar al-Wasiti, narrated to us, from Shu'ayb ibn Khalid, from Husayn ibn 'Ali (رضي الله عنهما), who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Part of the excellence of a person's Islam is leaving that which does not concern him.'
