Hadith #217
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَنْبَأَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ ابْنَ أَبِي رَافِعٍ يَتَخَتَّمُ فِي يَمِينِهِ فَسَأَلْتُهُ
عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَذَكَرَ أَنَّهُ رَأَى عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ جَعْفَرٍ يَتَخَتَّمُ فِي يَمِينِهِ وَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَخَتَّمُ فِي يَمِينِهِ

English Translation
Yazid informed us, Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us. He said: I saw Ibn Abi Rafi' wearing his ring on his right hand. I asked him about that, and he mentioned that he saw 'Abdullah ibn Ja'far (رضي الله عنهما) wearing his ring on his right hand. 'Abdullah ibn Ja'far said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to wear his ring on his right hand.
