English Translation
Wahb ibn Jarir narrated to us, my father narrated to us. He said: I heard Muhammad ibn Abi Ya'qub narrating from al-Hasan ibn Sa'd, from 'Abdullah ibn Ja'far (رضي الله عنهما), who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ rode his mule and let me ride behind him. the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, when he needed to relieve himself, preferred to screen himself behind a wall or a cluster of palm trees. He entered a garden belonging to a man from the Ansar. There was a water-carrying camel in it. When it saw the Prophet ﷺ, it whimpered and its eyes shed tears. the Messenger of Allah ﷺ dismounted and wiped the base of its ears and its hump, and it calmed down. He said: 'Who is the owner of this camel?' A young man from the Ansar came and said: 'I am.' He said: 'Will you not fear Allah regarding this beast that Allah has given you? It has complained to me about you and claimed that you starve it and overwork it.' Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ went further into the garden and relieved himself. Then he performed ablution. Then he came with water dripping from his beard onto his chest. He confided something to me that I do not tell anyone. We urged him to tell us, and he said: 'I will not disclose the secret of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ until I meet Allah.'
