English Translation
Jarir ibn 'Abd al-Hamid Abu 'Abdullah narrated to us, from Yazid ibn Abi Ziyad, from 'Abdullah ibn al-Harith, from 'Abd al-Muttalib ibn Rabi'ah, who said: Al-'Abbas (رضي الله عنه) entered upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, we go out and see the Quraysh talking, but when they see us, they fall silent.' the Messenger of Allah ﷺ became angry, and a vein between his eyes swelled. Then he said: 'By Allah, faith will not enter the heart of any man until he loves you for the sake of Allah and because of my kinship.'
