Hadith #260
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو مَعْبَدٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ يُخْبِرُ عَنِ الْفَضْلِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَشِيَّةَ عَرَفَةَ غَدَاةَ جَمْعٍ لِلنَّاسِ حِينَ دَفَعْنَا عَلَيْكُمْ السَّكِينَةَ وَهُوَ كَافٌّ نَاقَتَهُ
حَتَّى إِذَا دَخَلَ مِنًى حِينَ هَبَطَ مُحَسِّرًا قَالَ عَلَيْكُمْ بِحَصَى الْخَذْفِ الَّذِي يُرْمَى بِهِ الْجَمْرَةُ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُشِيرُ بِيَدِهِ كَمَا يَخْذِفُ الْإِنْسَانُ و قَالَ رَوْحٌ وَالبُرْسَانِيُّ عَشِيَّةَ عَرَفَةَ وَغَدَاةَ جَمْعٍ وَقَالَا حِينَ دَفَعُوا

English Translation
Yahya narrated to us, from Ibn Jurayj, Abu al-Zubayr informed me, Abu Ma'bad informed me, he said: I heard Ibn 'Abbas reporting from al-Fadl, who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said on the evening of 'Arafah and the morning of Muzdalifah to the people when they departed: "Upon you is tranquility." And he was restraining his she-camel. When he entered Mina and descended Muhassir, he said: "Take pebbles the size of date stones with which to stone the Jamrah." And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was gesturing with his hand as a person throws pebbles. Rawh and al-Bursani said: "the evening of 'Arafah and the morning of Muzdalifah," and they said: "when they departed."
