English Translation
Jabir ibn Samurah (رضي الله عنه) narrated: The people of Kufa complained about Sa'd to 'Umar (رضي الله عنه) and said: 'He does not pray properly.' Sa'd said: 'These Bedouins! By Allah, I have not fallen short of the prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in Dhuhr and 'Asr. I lengthen the first two rak'ahs and shorten the last two.' 'Umar said: 'That is what we expected of you, O Abu Ishaq.'
