Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ حَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ يَسَارٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنِ الْفَضْلِ أَنَّ امْرَأَةً مِنْ خَثْعَمٍ قَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ
عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ أَبِي أَدْرَكَتْهُ فَرِيضَةُ اللَّهِ فِي الْحَجِّ وَهُوَ شَيْخٌ كَبِيرٌ لَا يَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ يَسْتَوِيَ عَلَى ظَهْرِ بَعِيرِهِ قَالَ فَحُجِّي عَنْهُ

English Translation
Rawh narrated to us, Ibn Jurayj narrated to us, Ibn Shihab said: Sulayman ibn Yasar narrated to me, from 'Abdullah ibn 'Abbas, from al-Fadl (رضي الله عنه), that a woman from Khath'am said: "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ, the obligation of Allah regarding Hajj has reached my father while he is a very old man who cannot sit upright on the back of his camel." He said: "Then perform Hajj on his behalf."
