English Translation

Sufyan narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from 'Ubaydullah ibn 'Abdullah, from Ibn 'Abbas, that the Prophet ﷺ set out on the day of the Conquest of Makkah while fasting, and when he reached al-Kadid he broke his fast. And what is followed is the later of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ's ﷺ actions. It was said to Sufyan: "Is the statement 'what is followed is the later action' from al-Zuhri or from Ibn 'Abbas?" He said: "It is like that in the hadith."
