Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ يَبْلُغُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الثَّيِّبُ أَحَقُّ بِنَفْسِهَا مِنْ وَلِيِّهَا وَالْبِكْرُ يَسْتَأْمِرُهَا أَبُوهَا فِي نَفْسِهَا وَإِذْنُهَا صُمَاتُهَا
English Translation
Sufyan narrated to us, from Ziyad ibn Sa'd, from 'Abdullah ibn al-Fadl, from Nafi' ibn Jubayr, from Ibn 'Abbas, tracing it back to the Prophet ﷺ: "The previously married woman has more right over herself than her guardian, and the virgin: her father seeks her consent regarding herself, and her consent is her silence."
