حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ سُحَيْمٍ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ لَمْ أَحْفَظْ عَنْهُ غَيْرَهُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُهُ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَعْبَدِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ كَشَفَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ ال
سِّتَارَةِ وَالنَّاسُ صُفُوفٌ خَلْفَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ فَقَالَ أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّهُ لَمْ يَبْقَ مِنْ مُبَشِّرَاتِ النُّبُوَّةِ إِلَّا الرُّؤْيَا الصَّالِحَةُ يَرَاهَا الْمُسْلِمُ أَوْ تُرَى لَهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ أَلَا إِنِّي نُهِيتُ أَنْ أَقْرَأَ رَاكِعًا أَوْ سَاجِدًا فَأَمَّا الرُّكُوعُ فَعَظِّمُوا فِيهِ الرَّبَّ وَأَمَّا السُّجُودُ فَاجْتَهِدُوا فِي الدُّعَاءِ فَقَمِنٌ أَنْ يُسْتَجَابَ لَكُمْ

English Translation
Sufyan narrated to us, Sulayman ibn Suhaym narrated to us — Sufyan said: I did not memorize anything from him other than this — he said: I heard him from Ibrahim ibn 'Abdullah ibn Ma'bad ibn 'Abbas, from his father, from Ibn 'Abbas, who said: "the Messenger of Allah ﷺ drew back the curtain while the people were in rows behind Abu Bakr, and said: 'O people, there remains nothing of the glad tidings of prophethood except the righteous dream that a Muslim sees or that is seen for him.' Then he said: 'Indeed, I have been forbidden from reciting the Quran while bowing or prostrating. As for the bowing, glorify the Lord in it. As for the prostration, exert yourselves in supplication, for it is likely that you will be answered.'"
