حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ أَنْبَأَنَا سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ عَنْ طَاوُسٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّى عِنْدَ كُسُوفِ الشَّمْسِ ثَمَانِيَ رَكَعَاتٍ وَأَرْبَعَ سَجَدَاتٍ
English Translation
Isma'il narrated from Sufyan al-Thawri, from Habib ibn Abi Thabit, from Tawus, from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما): the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed during a solar eclipse — eight rak'ahs (bowings) and four prostrations (in two rak'ahs of prayer).
