حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ سَالِمٍ أَبُو جَهْضَمٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ سَمِعَ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَبْدًا مَأْمُورًا بَلَّغَ وَاللَّهِ مَا أُرْسِلَ بِهِ وَمَا اخْتَصَّنَا دُونَ النَّاسِ بِشَيْءٍ لَيْسَ ثَلَاثًا أَمَرَنَا أ
َنْ نُسْبِغَ الْوُضُوءَ وَأَنْ لَا نَأْكُلَ الصَّدَقَةَ وَأَنْ لَا نُنْزِيَ حِمَارًا عَلَى فَرَسٍ قَالَ مُوسَى فَلَقِيتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ حَسَنٍ فَقُلْتُ إِنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي كَذَا وَكَذَا فَقَالَ إِنَّ الْخَيْلَ كَانَتْ فِي بَنِي هَاشِمٍ قَلِيلَةً فَأَحَبَّ أَنْ تَكْثُرَ فِيهِمْ

English Translation
Isma'il narrated from Musa ibn Salim Abu Jahdham, 'Abdullah ibn 'Ubaydillah ibn 'Abbas narrated to us that he heard Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) say: 'the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was a servant who was commanded. By Allah, he conveyed what he was sent with. He did not single us out (the family of the Prophet ﷺ) from the people with anything except three things: he commanded us to perform wudu thoroughly, not to eat from the sadaqah (charity), and not to mate a donkey with a mare.' Musa said: 'I then met 'Abdullah ibn Hasan and told him that 'Abdullah ibn 'Ubaydillah narrated such-and-such to me. He said: "Horses were few among Banu Hashim, so he (the Prophet ﷺ) wanted them to increase among them."'
