حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ جُبَي

ْرٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَأَنْ يَمْتَلِئَ جَوْفُ الرَّجُلِ قَيْحًا خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَنْ يَمْتَلِئَ شِعْرًا
Isnad Chain
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Sa'd narrated from his father (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'It would be better for a man's belly to be filled with pus than to be filled with poetry.'
