حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنَا عَطَاءٌ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِامْرَأَةٍ مِنْ الْأَنْصَارِ سَمَّاهَا ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ فَنَسِيتُ اسْمَهَا مَا مَنَعَكِ أَنْ تَحُجِّي مَعَنَا ا
لْعَامَ قَالَتْ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ إِنَّمَا كَانَ لَنَا نَاضِحَانِ فَرَكِبَ أَبُو فُلَانٍ وَابْنُهُ لِزَوْجِهَا وَابْنِهَا نَاضِحًا وَتَرَكَ نَاضِحًا نَنْضَحُ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَإِذَا كَانَ رَمَضَانُ فَاعْتَمِرِي فِيهِ فَإِنَّ عُمْرَةً فِيهِ تَعْدِلُ حَجَّةً
Isnad Chain
English Translation
Yahya narrated from Ibn Jurayj, 'Ata' informed us, saying: I heard Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) say: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to a woman from the Ansar — Ibn 'Abbas named her, but I forgot her name — 'What prevented you from performing Hajj with us this year?' She said: 'O Prophet of Allah, we only had two water-carrying camels. Her husband and his son rode one camel, and he left one camel for us to irrigate (our land).' the Prophet ﷺ said: 'When Ramadan comes, perform 'Umrah in it, for 'Umrah in Ramadan is equivalent to a Hajj.'
