English Translation
Ibn Numayr narrated from Musa ibn Muslim al-Tahhan al-Saghir, who said: I heard 'Ikrimah attributing the hadith — as far as I can tell — to Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whoever leaves snakes alone out of fear of their pursuit is not from us. We have not been at peace with them since we went to war with them.'
