English Translation

Asbat narrated from Abu Ishaq al-Shaybani, from Hammad, from Ibrahim, from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'If you send your trained dog and it eats from the game, then do not eat (from it), for it only caught it for itself. But if you send it and it kills without eating, then eat, for it only caught it for its master.' 'Abdullah said: In my father's book it was from Ibrahim who said: 'I heard Ibn 'Abbas,' but my father crossed it out. That is what Asbat said.
