English Translation
Waki' and Ibn Ja'far — with the same meaning — both said: Shu'bah narrated to us from al-Mughirah ibn al-Nu'man, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood among us with an admonition and said: 'You will be gathered before Allah (تعالى) barefoot, naked, and uncircumcised. {As We began the first creation, We will repeat it — a promise binding upon Us. Indeed, We will do it} [21:104]. The first of creation to be clothed will be Ibrahim, the Friend of the Most Merciful (عز وجل).' Then he said: 'Then some people from among you will be taken to the left.' Ibn Ja'far said: 'Men from my ummah will be brought and taken to the left.' I will say: 'O my Lord, my companions!' It will be said to me: 'You do not know what they innovated after you. They kept turning back on their heels since you left them.' So I will say as the righteous servant said: {And I was a witness over them as long as I was among them...} the verse up to {Indeed, You are the Mighty, the Wise} [5:117-118].
