حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ قَالَ قَالَ عُرْوَةُ لِابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ حَتَّى مَتَى تُضِلُّ النَّاسَ يَا ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ مَا ذَاكَ يَا عُرَيَّةُ قَالَ تَأْمُرُنَا بِالْ
عُمْرَةِ فِي أَشْهُرِ الْحَجِّ وَقَدْ نَهَى أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ قَدْ فَعَلَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ عُرْوَةُ كَانَا هُمَا أَتْبَعَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَعْلَمَ بِهِ مِنْكَ
Isnad Chain
English Translation
'Affan narrated to us, Wuhayb narrated to us, Ayyub narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Mulaykah who said: 'Urwah said to Ibn 'Abbas: "How long will you continue to lead the people astray, O Ibn 'Abbas?" He said: "What is that, O 'Urayyah?" He said: "You command us to perform 'Umrah during the months of Hajj, while Abu Bakr and 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) prohibited it." Ibn 'Abbas said: "the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did it." 'Urwah said: "They were more adherent to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and more knowledgeable of him than you."
