حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ أَبِي السَّفَرِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ شُفَيٍّ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ جَعَلَ النَّاسُ يَسْأَلُونَهُ عَنْ الصَّلَاةِ فِي السَّفَرِ فَقَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَ
لَّمَ إِذَا خَرَجَ مِنْ أَهْلِهِ لَمْ يُصَلِّ إِلَّا رَكْعَتَيْنِ حَتَّى يَرْجِعَ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ شُفَيٍّ قَالَ كُنْتُ عِنْدَ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, from Abu Ishaq, from Abu al-Safar, from Sa'id ibn Shufayy, from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما), who said: People kept asking him about prayer during travel. He said: When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ departed from his family, he would only pray two rak'ahs until he returned to his family. Aswad narrated to us, Isra'il narrated to us, from Abu Ishaq, from Sa'id ibn Shufayy, who said: I was with Ibn 'Abbas, and he mentioned the hadith.
