حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ مِه
ْرَانَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ مِنْ وَلَدِ آدَمَ إِلَّا قَدْ أَخْطَأَ أَوْ هَمَّ بِخَطِيئَةٍ لَيْسَ يَحْيَى بْنَ زَكَرِيَّا وَمَا يَنْبَغِي لِأَحَدٍ أَنْ يَقُولَ أَنَا خَيْرٌ مِنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ مَتَّى عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام

English Translation
'Affan narrated to us, Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, 'Ali ibn Zayd informed us, from Yusuf ibn Mihran, from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما): the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "There is no one among the children of Adam who has not sinned or contemplated a sin, except Yahya ibn Zakariyya (عليه السلام). And it is not befitting for anyone to say: 'I am better than Yunus ibn Matta' (عليه السلام)."
