English Translation
'Affan narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, Abu Bishr informed me, saying: I heard Sa'id ibn Jubayr narrating from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما): His maternal aunt Umm Hufayd sent to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ clarified butter, lizards, and dried curd. He ate from the butter and the dried curd, but left the lizards out of disgust. Yet they were eaten on the table of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and had they been forbidden, they would not have been eaten on his table. I said: "Who said 'had they been forbidden'?" He said: "Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنه)."
