حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ عَبْد اللَّهِ بْن أَحْمَد وَسَمِعْتُهُ أَنَا مِنْهُ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ مِقْسَمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ أُصِيبَ يَوْمِ الْخَنْدَقِ رَجُلٌ مِنْ الْمُش
ْرِكِينَ وَطَلَبُوا إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يُجِنُّوهُ فَقَالَ لَا وَلَا كَرَامَةَ لَكُمْ قَالُوا فَإِنَّا نَجْعَلُ لَكَ عَلَى ذَلِكَ جُعْلًا قَالَ وَذَلِكَ أَخْبَثُ وَأَخْبَثُ

English Translation
'Abdullah ibn Muhammad narrated to us — 'Abdullah ibn Ahmad said: and I heard it from him — 'Ali ibn Mushir narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Layla, from al-Hakam, from Miqsam, from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) who said: On the Day of al-Khandaq (the Trench), a man from the polytheists was killed, and they sought permission from the Prophet ﷺ to retrieve his body. He said: "No, and you deserve no honor." They said: "We will pay you for it." He said: "That is even more wicked and vile."
