حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ عَبْد اللَّهِ بْن أَحْمَد وَسَمِعْتُهُ أَنَا مِنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ قَابُوسَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى ا
للَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيْسَ مِنْكُمْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلَّا وَقَدْ وُكِّلَ بِهِ قَرِينُهُ مِنْ الشَّيَاطِينِ قَالُوا وَأَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ نَعَمْ وَلَكِنَّ اللَّهَ أَعَانَنِي عَلَيْهِ فَأَسْلَمَ

English Translation
'Uthman ibn Muhammad narrated to us — 'Abdullah ibn Ahmad said: and I heard it from 'Uthman ibn Muhammad — Jarir narrated to us, from Qabus, from his father, from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "There is not one of you except that a companion from the devils has been assigned to him." They said: "Even you, O Messenger of Allah?" He said: "Yes, but Allah has aided me against him, so he has submitted (become Muslim)."
