English Translation
'Abd al-Wahhab said: Hisham informed us, from Qatadah, from Abu al-'Aliyah, from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما): the Prophet ﷺ of Allah ﷺ used to supplicate during distress: "La ilaha illa Allah al-'Azim al-Halim. La ilaha illa Allah, Anta Rabb al-'Arsh al-'Azim. La ilaha illa Anta, Rabb al-samawat wa Rabb al-ard wa Rabb al-'Arsh al-Karim" (There is no god but Allah, the Magnificent, the Forbearing. There is no god but Allah, You are the Lord of the Mighty Throne. There is no god but You, Lord of the heavens and Lord of the earth and Lord of the Noble Throne). 'Abd al-Wahhab narrated to us, Sa'id informed us, from Qatadah, from Abu al-'Aliyah al-Riyahi, from Ibn 'Abbas, from the Prophet ﷺ — a similar narration, meaning the du'a of distress.
