حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عُمَرَ قَالَ ثَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُعَلِّمُهُمْ هَذَا الدُّعَاءَ كَمَا يُعَلِّمُهُمْ السُّورَةَ مِنْ الْقُرْآنِ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ جَهَنَّمَ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ ا
لْقَبْرِ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ الْمَسِيحِ الدَّجَّالِ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْمَحْيَا وَالْمَمَاتِ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ طَاوُسٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ مِثْلَهُ غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْمَسِيحِ الدَّجَّالِ
Isnad Chain
English Translation
Isma'il ibn 'Umar narrated to us, Malik narrated to us, from Abu al-Zinad, from al-A'raj, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه): the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to teach them this du'a as he would teach them a surah from the Quran: "O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of Hellfire, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave, I seek refuge in You from the evil of al-Masih al-Dajjal, and I seek refuge in You from the trials of life and death." Isma'il narrated to us, Malik narrated to us, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Tawus, from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) — a similar narration, except that he said: "from the trial of al-Masih al-Dajjal."
