حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا ي
َحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُودَى الْمُكَاتَبُ بِقَدْرِ مَا أَدَّى دِيَةَ الْحُرِّ وَبِقَدْرِ مَا رَقَّ دِيَةَ الْعَبْدِ

English Translation
Muhammad ibn 'Abdullah narrated to us, Hisham ibn Abi 'Abdullah narrated to us, Yahya ibn Abi Kathir narrated to us, from 'Ikrimah, from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The mukatab (a slave who has contracted to buy his freedom) receives blood money proportionate to what he has paid — the blood money of a free person — and proportionate to what remains enslaved — the blood money of a slave."
