حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ حَدَّثَنِي الزُّهْرِيُّ عَنْ طَاوُسٍ الْيَمَانِيِّ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ يَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَل
َيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ اغْتَسِلُوا يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَاغْسِلُوا رُءُوسَكُمْ وَإِنْ لَمْ تَكُونُوا جُنُبًا وَمَسُّوا مِنْ الطِّيبِ قَالَ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ أَمَّا الطِّيبُ فَلَا أَدْرِي وَأَمَّا الْغُسْلُ فَنَعَمْ

English Translation
Ya'qub narrated to us, my father narrated to us, from Ibn Ishaq, al-Zuhri narrated to me, from Tawus al-Yamani who said: I said to 'Abdullah ibn 'Abbas: "They claim that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Bathe on the day of Jumu'ah and wash your heads, even if you are not in a state of janabah, and apply some perfume.'" Ibn 'Abbas said: "As for the bath, yes. But as for perfume, I do not know."
