حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجٌ حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادٌ عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ مِقْسَمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ قَتَلَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ رَجُلًا مِنْ الْمُشْرِكِينَ يَوْمَ الْخ
َنْدَقِ فَأَرْسَلُوا رَسُولًا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَغْرَمُونَ الدِّيَةَ بِجِيفَتِهِ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّهُ لَخَبِيثٌ خَبِيثُ الدِّيَةِ خَبِيثُ الْجِيفَةِ فَخَلَّى بَيْنَهُمْ وَبَيْنَهُ

English Translation
Surayj narrated to us, 'Abbad narrated to us, from al-Hajjaj, from al-Hakam, from Miqsam, from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) who said: The Muslims killed a man from the polytheists on the Day of the Trench (al-Khandaq), and they sent a messenger to give back his body in exchange for a ransom. the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Give them his body, for there is no good in the body of a disbeliever or its price.'
