حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ أَخْبَرَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ أَسْلَمَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ وَعْلَةَ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ إِنَّ
ا نَغْزُو أَهْلَ الْمَغْرِبِ وَأَكْثَرُ أَسْقِيَتِهِمْ وَرُبَّمَا قَالَ حَمَّادٌ وَعَامَّةُ أَسْقِيَتِهِمْ الْمَيْتَةُ فَقَالَ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ دِبَاغُهَا طُهُورُهَا

English Translation
'Affan narrated to us, Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, Zayd ibn Aslam informed us, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Wa'lah who said: I said to Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما): 'We fight the people of the Maghreb (North Africa), and most of their waterskins are made from the skins of dead animals.' Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Any hide that is tanned has been purified.'
