حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ أَسْلَمَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ وَعْلَةَ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ ابْنَ
عَبَّاسٍ قُلْتُ إِنَّا نَغْزُو هَذَا الْمَغْرِبَ وَأَكْثَرُ أَسْقِيَتِهِمْ جُلُودُ الْمَيْتَةِ قَالَ فَقَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ دِبَاغُهَا طُهُورُهَا

English Translation
Bahz narrated to us, Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, Zayd ibn Aslam narrated to us, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Wa'lah who said: I asked Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما), I said: 'We fight in this Maghreb (North Africa), and most of their waterskins are made from the skins of dead animals.' Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Any hide that is tanned has been purified.'
