حَدَّثَنَا عَتَّابٌ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَجْوَدَ الن
َّاسِ وَكَانَ أَجْوَدَ مَا يَكُونُ فِي رَمَضَانَ حِينَ يَلْقَى جِبْرِيلَ وَكَانَ جِبْرِيلُ يَلْقَاهُ فِي كُلِّ لَيْلَةٍ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ فَيُدَارِسُهُ الْقُرْآنَ قَالَ فَلَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَجْوَدُ بِالْخَيْرِ مِنْ الرِّيحِ الْمُرْسَلَةِ

English Translation
'Attab narrated to us, 'Abdullah narrated to us, he said Yunus informed us, from al-Zuhri, he said 'Ubaydullah ibn 'Abdullah narrated to me, from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was the most generous of people, and he was most generous during Ramadan when Jibril (عليه السلام) would meet him. Jibril used to meet him every night of Ramadan and study the Quran with him. the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was more generous with good than the blowing wind.
